WE'RE LOOKING FOR PASSIONATE LEADERS INTERESTED IN BIPARTISAN ORGANIZING

The Spring 2015 Fellowship Program is geared at recruiting the next generation of organizers into the movement of bipartisan problem solving.

Florida competes is the bi-partisan organization working to pass legislation that promotes fairness and modernizes state law by updating our state's non-discrimination laws to protect LGBT people.  The coalition is broad-based and includes Republican and Democratic legislators, as well as organizations like the Miami Heat, C1 Bank, Winn-Dixie, Disney and Wells Fargo.  Florida state law protects Floridians from discrimination based on religion, color, sex, age and handicap, but does not protect individuals from discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity.

We are looking for passionate new leaders who are interested in working in a bipartisan way with businesses, faith leaders and elected officials to modernize Florida’s state law to end discrimination.

Fellows will work closely with our political organizing staff and learn best practices in the areas of community organizing, media relations and political outreach.
